Should I Accept a Company Relocation During a Pandemic
So, you have decided to accept that job offer from your company to a new city and state and you are going to be selling your home. One important thing that you will have to prepare for with the selling of your home is a general home inspection. Your Relocation Counselor will typically advise that your company requires a general home and pest inspection to be performed on your home and further inspections may be ordered based upon the results of those initial inspection reports. A big part of actually preparing your home for sale is getting your home ready for inspection. Potential buyers will want to know that your home, no matter the age, is in acceptable if not great condition. A common reason for a sale fall-out is not being able to come to an agreement with your buyer on inspection issues. Inspectors will be assessing that all your appliances are in good working condition, they will be checking the status of your electrical, gas, heating, and cooling systems. They will also check to see if you have any issues with your garage, roof, exterior construction (siding, wood, stucco), crawl space, windows, and sprinkler systems. They will look to determine if you have any possible signs of rodent or pest infestation, conducive conditions for termite infestation, and any indication of any major foundation/structural issues.
