This past weekend, InterLink’s Scott Addaman, SVP, Client Engagement & Success, attended the 2026 Rocket Classic, held July 30 through August 2 at the historic Detroit Golf Club. The event provided an opportunity to connect with business leaders, strengthen industry relationships, and experience firsthand the positive impact the tournament continues to have on the Detroit community. Scott attended as a guest of Lisa Fontana, Senior Strategic Account Executive at Rocket Mortgage. Rocket Mortgage has been a long-standing and valued supplier partner of InterLink, making the event an especially meaningful opportunity to further strengthen an important relationship while engaging with corporate leaders from across a variety of industries.
The Rocket Classic continues to be much more than a PGA TOUR event. Throughout the week, attendees experienced Rocket’s commitment to the city of Detroit and the surrounding community. The tournament brings together business leaders, community organizations, and supporters who share a common interest in driving positive impact both on and off the course. “A sincere thank you to Lisa Fontana for being such a wonderful host at this year’s Rocket Classic,” said Addaman. “It was an outstanding event and a great opportunity to experience the impact Rocket continues to have through the tournament and its ongoing commitment to Detroit.”
One of the most rewarding aspects of events like the Rocket Classic is the opportunity to engage with professionals from a wide range of industries. Conversations throughout the week focused on the opportunities and challenges organizations are navigating in today’s business environment, creating valuable opportunities to exchange perspectives and learn from one another. “Connecting with corporate attendees and hearing about the opportunities and challenges they’re navigating was one of the highlights of the event,” Addaman noted. “Those discussions are a valuable reminder of the importance of sharing ideas, building relationships, and learning from one another.” For InterLink, these interactions reinforce the value of collaboration, partnership, and maintaining strong relationships with organizations that help support client success.
The tournament concluded with an exciting finish as 24-year-old Michael Thorbjornsen captured his first PGA TOUR victory, closing with a final-round 63 to win the 2026 Rocket Classic by two strokes. His breakthrough performance provided an exciting conclusion to the tournament and secured a significant milestone in his young professional career.
Witnessing Thorbjornsen’s first PGA TOUR victory added another memorable moment to an already outstanding week in Detroit. For InterLink, events like the Rocket Classic highlight the value of meaningful conversations, industry collaboration, and the opportunity to learn from peers across diverse organizations. We appreciate the opportunity to participate and look forward to continuing the discussions and connections that help drive success for our clients, partners, and the communities we serve.
