Job Summary

The Director of Global Compensation and Payroll Services will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to servicing InterLink’s internal and external clients. The position has dotted-line responsibilities for the InterLink Controller and Manager of Expense Administration. This individual must be responsible for the utilization of suppliers’ tables (such as AirInc, Mercer, etc.) and logical application. The Director helps ensure tax compliance and provides coordinated services to clients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Global Compensation

  • Administer cost projections, compensation balance sheets, global compensation accumulation, tax equalizations, Certificates of Coverage, and global and shadow payroll
  • Accurate completion of cost projections through the use of policy review, reading of supplier tables (AirInc and Mercer), and logical application of knowledge
  • Utilize client policies, assignment letters, provider tables, and information received from internal and external contacts to calculate and audit payroll-related benefits
  • Oversee the use of internal technology to ensure client due dates are met based on the established payroll calendar and collection schedule
  • Timely collection and reconciliation of global compensation accumulation and pay register
  • Audit returned compensation accumulation for reasonability and policy adherence
  • Work with the client’s tax provider, if applicable, to audit, prepare, and track tax equalizations
  • Timely and accurate submission of applications and tracking of Certificates of Coverage
  • Provide analysis and reporting based on client-specific requirements
  • Manage year-end processes through communication and delivery of client-specific reporting
  • Manage reconciliation of year-to-date data for total compensation reporting
  • Participate in Client meetings, cross-departmental meetings, conference calls, and training as needed
  • Manage client billing for compensation services

 

General Duties

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to create global mobility processing procedures
  • Oversee the funding of the equities process
  • Manage the audit process for completed files
  • Provide backup to accounting functions
  • Provide standard and ad hoc financial reporting for internal and external clients

 

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of relocation and global mobility experience
  • 5+ years of global compensation experience and knowledge of global tax
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
  • Computer literacy with the ability to grasp INEO MoveTrack software, experience a plus
  • High level of MS Office skills
  • Exceptional verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-identification, data analytics, and issue-resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and time management – responsible and accountable for expected results
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic

Working Conditions

  • Office environment – Initially totally “in office”; Hybrid potential
  • Schedule is 9 to 5 EST, Monday through Friday
  • Occasional availability after hours
